some of my guide/climber friends practice yoga and they really love it.
better balance and flexibility on the rock, more fluid movement.

    Climbing is yoga with consequences.
It is a good way to stay in balance, I tend to like climbing better but thats just me.
Might hit up a gym. It is indoor and artificial but the crowd is usually pretty mello climbing folks.

yoga increases flexibility good for reaching holds in awkward places and greater range, increases core strength for moving center in static reaches, help train focus while under physical duress.

So I have only taken a few classes so far but I would have to say that so far this has seemed to be really right on. Really nice if leading gets you in a bad head space like it does me. The second think I would say it seems to help was Posture. I never thought about my posture when Climbing but it really helps with fatigue, balance and it helps to have a good posture when moving from one odd hold to the next.

i started yoga when i was 7 and didn't start climbing til i was 15, but the training gave me the edge to be able to meditate on the rock, so to speak, and to use flexibility where I was not strong (couldn't do a pull up, but could climb 5.11s). Yoga is a friend, I hope you find it to be so for you too.
